Privacy Policy

This website, jacksonkailath.com (“the site”), is operated by Jackson Kailath, Bengaluru, India. This policy explains what personal data the site collects, why, and how it is used.
What we collect
Account data. When you create an account you provide a name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
Purchase data. When you buy a course or PDF bundle, we record what you bought, when, the price and currency, and your billing country. Payment is processed by our merchant of record, Dodo Payments (see below). We never see or store your card number, UPI ID or bank details.
Learning data. For video courses, the site records your enrolments, lesson progress, quiz attempts and completion status so that you can resume where you left off.
Download data. PDF files you purchase are watermarked with your email address at the moment you download them. This identifies the copy as yours and discourages unauthorised sharing.
Technical data. Like most websites, the site logs your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. Your IP address is also used to estimate your country so that prices can be shown in the right currency; only the country is used, and it is not linked to your account unless you make a purchase.
How we use it
- To create and manage your account and let you log in.
- To deliver the courses and files you have bought and keep track of your progress.
- To send order confirmations, download links and course-related notifications.
- To display prices in your local currency.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse, including unauthorised redistribution of purchased materials.
- To comply with tax and legal obligations.
We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing emails unless you have opted in.
Who we share it with
We use the following service providers, each of which processes data only for the purpose listed:
- Dodo Payments — merchant of record; processes payment, collects and remits applicable taxes, and issues invoices. Dodo’s own privacy policy applies to the payment step.
- Google — if you choose to sign in with Google.
- MaxMind — provides the database used to estimate your country from your IP address. No data is sent to MaxMind.
- Hostinger — hosts the site and its database.
We do not share your data with anyone else except where required by law.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work: keeping you logged in, remembering your cart, and remembering your detected country so prices stay consistent. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Account and purchase records are kept for as long as your account exists, and for as long afterwards as tax law requires (currently 8 years in India). Learning progress is kept while your account exists. Server logs are rotated within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or have your account deleted, by emailing jacksonkailath@gmail.com. Deleting your account removes your access to purchased content. Purchase records needed for tax compliance are retained even after account deletion.
Children
The site is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
